The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates health and social care services in England, and registration with the CQC is something families often ask us about.

Care team discussing standards

In short, CQC inspections assess whether a service is:

  • Safe
  • Effective
  • Caring
  • Responsive
  • Well-led

Inspectors review records, speak to staff and clients, and publish a rating that’s available publicly.

A good rating is a useful starting point, but it’s worth asking any provider how they maintain standards between inspections, and how they handle feedback or concerns.

We’re proud to maintain our CQC registration and are always happy to discuss our latest inspection outcomes with current or prospective clients.
