No two days look the same for a support worker, but here’s a flavour of what a typical shift might involve.

Support worker with a client

Mornings often start with helping a client get ready for the day — personal care, breakfast, and a check-in on how they’re feeling. From there, the focus shifts to whatever goals are part of that client’s care plan.

A typical shift might include:

  • Personal care and morning routine support
  • Therapy exercises or rehabilitation activities
  • Accompanying a client to an appointment or activity
  • Detailed handover notes for the next shift and the case manager

It’s a role built on consistency, trust and genuinely getting to know the person you’re supporting.

We’re always looking for compassionate, reliable people to join our support work team — see our careers page for current opportunities.
